Electric scissors

Introduction

The electric scissors is a double-insulated hand-held power tool that uses a single-phase series-excited motor as the power to drive the working head to perform the shearing operation through the transmission mechanism. It has the characteristics of convenient cutting of various shapes of steel plates, light weight, safety and reliability. It is widely used in the sheet metal occasions of automobiles, shipbuilding, aircraft and repairing departments, and cuts thin plates, metal plates and other plates.

The electric scissors consists of an electric motor, a reduction gear box, an eccentric shaft-link mechanism, a switch, a non-reconnectable plug and a cutter.

The motor adopts a single-phase series-excited motor and is placed in a plastic casing. The plastic casing is not only a structural member for supporting the motor, but also the stator is additionally insulated, and the casing is additionally insulated to form a double insulation structure.

The motor drives the eccentric shaft-link mechanism through the reduction gear box, so that the cutter rod drives the upper cutter head to reciprocate to cut the metal sheet, and the lower cutter head is fixed on the knife holder.

The power cord is a double-core sheathed flexible cable, and the double-column rubber plug constitutes a non-reconnectable plug.

Electric scissors selection and application

The main types of electric scissors are: BLS1.6X, BLS2.5, BLS3.5, BLS4.2. The thickness of the cutting material is: 1.6mm, 2.5mm, 3.5mm, 4.2mm.[1]

1) The electric scissors should be operated at no load for 1 min before use, check whether the transmission part is flexible, and add lubricating oil in the reciprocating mechanism.

2) The lateral clearance of the upper and lower blades should be adjusted according to the thickness of the processed material. The lateral clearance can be adjusted by 20% to 40% of the thickness of the sheet to be cut. For example, if the 1mm thick steel plate is cut, it can be adjusted to 0.2ram; the 2ram thick steel plate can be cut to 0.6~0.7mm. The upper and lower gaps of the two blades have been adjusted at the factory. Note that under any circumstances (even when the arbor is dead), the upper and lower blades should not be out of overlap.

3) When cutting, do not use excessive force, and if the speed drops sharply, the thrust should be reduced immediately to prevent overload. When the card is cut, the power must be turned off immediately.

4) In order to cut smoothly, when pushing forward, tilt the tool slightly backward.

5) After the electric scissors are used for a period of time, the blade becomes dull, and the blade should be removed and sharpened on the grinding wheel. When installing, adjust the upper and lower gaps of the blade.

Electric scissors safety operation procedures

The correct use of the mobile pusher is related to equipment and personal safety. Please note the following:

1. Before use, make sure that the power supply is intact. After the power plug is plugged in, it can be used normally. It must be equipped with steel wire gloves.

2. The operator must concentrate on the work, and other personnel are prohibited from chatting with the operator or otherwise distracting the operator.

3. The reclaiming employee must take the material when the operator has indeed cut a piece of work and dispose of it to prevent accidents.

4. When performing the cutting work, the operator should always pay attention to whether the power cord is too tight beyond the distance of the line itself to prevent the power cord from being cut, to avoid the occurrence of electric shock and short-circuit accidents. The operator works to ensure safety.

5. After the work is finished or cut, when replacing the blade, and troubleshooting, you should unplug the power plug in time to prevent accidents. Do not directly connect the power cord when pulling the plug.

6. Do not use other objects to tap the power plug or socket.

7. Use automatic knife sharpener: Under normal working conditions, the straightening distance can be used to sharpen the knife once, and each time it should be reciprocated, it is not necessary to sharpen the knife several times. The presser foot should always be at the bottom to prevent the blade from injuring people.
